ADK Environmental Management Limited is a UK environmental and ecological consultancy company. We are looking for junior and senior ecologists to join and enhance our environmental team. We work closely with planners, engineers, architects, developers and utility companies on projects to provide timely, cost effective environmental solutions to ecological issues. Our ecologists provide specialist advice to high standards including for protected species assessment; habitat translocation, habitat creation and management, site restoration and rehabilitation, specialist services for planning applications, environmental impact assessments and appropriate assessments. Ideally ecologists who join us will have existing experience in a similar role in consultancy. They will have Phase 1 habitat survey and NVC capability and knowledge of protected species. Experience of EIA would be beneficial as would a protected species survey licence as well as having undertaken a project management role in preparing mitigation reports and managing projects under European protected species licence. All ecologists are expected to have a strong understanding of biodiversity issues and good communication and IT skills. Senior ecologists will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of project management including the ability to win new business and build strong client relationships through key projects and business initiatives. Mentoring and coaching skills for other team members are essential in this role, as are consultancy and IT skills.
